Our team of reviewers took a close look at the HP Photosmart A526 Compact 4x6 Photo Printer. The consensus was that while the prints are worth the wait. If you want your prints without a lot of tinkering, this is the model for you. It does print rather slowly though, so be warned.
Quality of photos, however, is another story. Reviewers reported that pictures with dark and/or shadowy areas did not print out very well. The majority of photo print, on the other hand, came out very well.

The HP Photosmart A526 Snapshot Printer while noted for its simplicity may have taken that simplicity too far. This is HP's low end dedicated printer for producing a small variety of photo sizes.
Our review team was disappointed to see that the HP Photosmart A526 Snapshot Printer struggled with printing photos that contain dark
areas and shadowy backgrounds, which is likely to be the case with many photos taken. It does print most other photos well, though.
